A little intro: hunting + gathering inspiration for our lives

WELCOME TO HUNTER GATHERER DIARIES: hunting + gathering beautiful things while driving around Australia.

We are about to embark on our adventure around and through our wonderful vast country Australia.

Our transport: a graphite, turbo diesel, 1993 80s series Toyota Landcruiser.

We will be hunting + gathering our food to be as self sustainable as possible in our travels and creating healthy, seasonal and interesting meals with the freshest ingredients Australia offers.  We love good food & there is no better or healthier way to appreciate it than hunting, gathering, preparing, eating, enjoying + feeling satisfied.

We will not only be hunting + gathering + preparing our food- we will be hunting + gathering inspiration for our lives.

We will meet interesting folk along our travels; explore, photograph + write about the beautiful + vast Australian landscape and its environments;  gather a deeper knowledge of the flora, fauna + indigenous culture in different areas of Australia; gather creative inspiration from Australia’s beautiful environments; practice yoga + meditation in the bush.

So join us for the next little while at hunter gatherer diaries.

left the camp site with only a knife, fishing rod, lighter + paper and look what we caught for lunch! Just enough to keep us going! Bream & abalone

What a day on the NSW south coast!

Can’t wait to follow your adventures with green eyed jealously!
Good luck on the road. I’ll be up in the Kimberly next year with Dad. With any luck we might share a camp site somewhere!
    Cheers,
    Dan.
